What’s new
Every version of ClockStack with its release date and changes, newest first. Updates come through the Mac App Store.
Version 1.1
Released on
- Show or hide each element: time, date, battery bar, percentage and network status can each be turned on or off. What you hide still shows in the menu.
- Battery details in the menu: how many watts your Mac charges with or uses, your charger’s power and the time until full or empty.
- Wi-Fi network name in the menu (optional). macOS only shares it with apps that have location access, so ClockStack asks once when you turn it on. Your location is never read.
- A tidier menu with icons instead of words and shortcuts to Wi-Fi, Network and Battery Settings, handy when Apple’s icons are hidden.
- Adjustable spacing around the battery bar and between the lines: tight, medium, wide or your own values.
- Separate font sizes for time, date and battery percentage (optional).
- Vertical network status (optional): the Wi-Fi dots stand on top of each other next to the battery bar.
- More settings: ClockStack’s width (fixed or as narrow as possible), the speed of the charging animation, and the percentage and % sign on or off. Each section can be reset on its own.
- About ClockStack with version, links and a shortcut to rate the app.
- Charging and plugged in now look different, even with the animation off or Reduce Motion on.
- Custom formats: one line only, clearer help and a warning if a pattern shows nothing. Your existing formats keep working.
- The preview stays at the top of the settings window while you scroll.
