Summary
ClockStack does not collect, store or send any personal data. It has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and the app makes no network connections.

What the app reads
To draw its menu bar item, ClockStack reads the time, the battery level and charging state, and the type and signal strength of the current network connection. These values are read locally from macOS, shown on screen and then discarded. They never leave your Mac.
ClockStack does not read the name of your Wi-Fi network and does not use your location.
Settings
Your display settings, such as the date format, are saved on your Mac in the app’s own preferences. ClockStack does not sync or send them.
Purchase through the App Store
ClockStack is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles purchase, payment and refunds under its own privacy policy. We don’t receive your name or payment details, only anonymous sales figures. If you agreed to share analytics with app developers, Apple also gives us anonymous usage and crash statistics.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no external services. Fonts are served from this server.
If you choose a light or dark appearance or a language, your browser stores that choice locally (local storage, keys “theme” and “lang”). It is not sent to the server, and you can delete it in your browser settings at any time.
Statistics
We count visits with Matomo, which we run ourselves on an Infomaniak server in Switzerland. Matomo sets no cookies, shortens the IP address before storing it and creates no visitor profiles. This shows us, for example, which pages are read, which page or search engine brought you here and whether you click the App Store link. Browser, operating system, screen size and approximate country are also recorded. The raw data is deleted after six months.
Server logs
When you open a page, our hosting provider Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, Switzerland, processes on our behalf the IP address, date and time, the requested address, the referring page, browser and operating system and the status of the request. This is needed to deliver the website and to protect it from attacks. The logs are stored in Switzerland and deleted automatically after 30 days.
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you. Emails are stored with Infomaniak in Switzerland and deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to hello@clockstack.app. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
We update this policy when the app or the website changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
